I’m not a fitness enthusiast. In fact, I am a very unhealthy person. In my youth, I was a chain smoker. I finally quit for good about ten years ago. That certainly contributed to my current state; smokers are not known for their athleticism. I did not have a favorite physical activity and I didn’t get enough exercise.
When I realized my health was in decline I started going to gym. I did enjoy that. I guess you would describe those activities as “general fitness”. There are quite few exercises, activities and machines available at the gym. I’m not focusing on any one in particular. I might have been more motivated to stick with it if I had a friend, a gym buddy. Even now when I think about going to the gym my brain says “stop it. You’re a fat old man now. Nobody wants to see you hobbling along on a treadmill.”
What I really do enjoy, is cycling. I never did it competitively or anything, just casual cycling. I guess you’d say my favorite flavor of cycling is “gravel”. There is an okay trail here where many local people ride their bicycles. I like the adventure/exploration aspect of cycling. I don’t really think of it as an exercise while I’m out riding around. Cycling is also one of my favorite sports to watch. I enjoy road and mountain bike the most. I’m not so much into indoor/track.

Love biking and love walking. Not much into weights. If you find something that you love, it’s easier to start moving.
