I see a typical collection of wild animals. You might call it a commonplace menagerie. I reside in the state of Pennsylvania, in the United States. We have deer. We have a lot of deer, and they like to make themselves visible while we’re driving. It’s messy.
Do I need to mention that I see birds? Doesn’t everybody see birds? You have birds where you live… right? It’s not as if they obey no-fly zones. Unfortunately, they do sometimes crash into my front door. I think they nest in the awning above that door. We have all kinds of hawks and falcons. they are a common sight here. Years ago a California condor escaped from some local a zoo or aviary. I actually saw it flying overhead just outside my house. Anywhere we have water, you’re sure to find ducks and geese loitering about.
Here in Pennsylvania, you can’t even look outside without seeing squirrels and chipmunks. I think everybody occasionally sees rats and mice. We also have an abundance of raccoons, groundhogs, skunks, and (depending on where you live) we also have bears. I see all of these creatures and quite a few more. We get coyotes and I have even seen a cougar or “mountain Lion” as some people call them.
We have an abundance of snakes for a place that gets so cold in the winter. In my travels, I have only ever seen garter snakes and brown snakes, never anything particularly dangerous. But we do have several species of venomous snakes. These include the eastern copperhead, timber rattlesnake, and something called the eastern massasauga. According to the Internet, that is another rattlesnake.
I don’t live in a metropolitan area, so, yeah, I guess I do see wild animals.
