The Rt. Rev. Alex Whitcomb Cameron, Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh will be visiting today.

A Prayer For Our Clergy

Heavenly Father we thank you for gathering us together today into this blessed assembly.
We thank you for this opportunity to welcome Alex, the bishop of our diocese. We are his guests as much as he is ours.
We pray that you will open our ears and our hearts so his words today may edify this congregation.
Lord we thank you for all of our clergy — our bishops, our priests and our deacons — who stand against the darkness of this world, pointing us to the true light of Christ.
We pray you will bless Alex our bishop, Jeffrey our priest and Gretchen our deacon. Grant them your peace, so that from the pulpit and at the Lord’s table they may have confidence to proclaim the words of God for the people of God.
We ask this in the name of your son, our savior Jesus Christ who lives and reigns together with you in the unity of the Holy Sprit, One God now and forever.
Amen.

Acclamations

Celebrant: Alleluia! Christ is risen!

People: The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Collects

Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ’s Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prefaces

But chiefly are we bound to praise you for the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; for he is the true Paschal Lamb, who was offered for us, and has taken away the sin of the world; who by his death has destroyed death, and by his rising to life again has won for us everlasting life.
