The Insufficiency of Our Efforts

A Prayer

Holy God. Holy and Mighty. Holy and Immortal;

Have mercy on us, Miserable Offenders.

Father, we know that all human efforts come to ruin;

The works of our hands crumble to dust.

But You, oh Lord make all things new;

And your steadfast love endures forever.

Lord, we thank you for your daily provision in our lives;

And we humbly ask that you strengthen us,

that we may persevere through all adversity and temptation.

Help us Dear Lord. We know that we cannot save ourselves.

In the name of Your son, our savior Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever.
Amen
