A Prayer for our Clergy.

Almighty God and Father,
We worship you as the source of all truth and righteousness.
We praise you for your unending patience and steadfast love.
We thank you for Christ Jesus through whom we sinners are reconciled to you; and for his return to your side where he prepares a place for us in your eternal kingdom.

We thank you also for our clergy — our bishops, priests and deacons. We pray that you will bless our priest, Jeff and our deacon, Gretchen with your peace so that from the pulpit and at the Lord’s table they may have confidence to proclaim the word of God to the people of God.

We ask this in the name of your son, our savior Jesus Christ — who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever.
Amen.

Acclamations

Celebrant: Alleluia! Christ is risen!
People: The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!*

Collects

Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly follow his steps in the way that leads to eternal glory; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

Prefaces

But chiefly are we bound to praise you for the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; for he is the true Paschal Lamb, who was offered for us, and has taken away the sin of the world; who by his death has destroyed death, and by his rising to life again has won for us everlasting life.
