Heavenly Father and Almighty God, we your humble servants thank you for breathing life into us once again and for gathering us together in your blessed assembly.
Lord, we pray that you will grant us pardon for those times when we allow the changes and chances of this life to separate us from the joy of our salvation.
We pray also that you will bless our clergy: our Reverend Canon, our priest, and our deacon. Grant them your peace, that from the pulpit and at the Lord’s table they may have confidence to speak the words of God to the People of God.
We ask this in the name of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit. One God, now and forever.
Amen.
Acclamations
Celebrant: Blessed be God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
People: And blessed be his kingdom, now and for ever. Amen.
Collects
Let your merciful ears, O Lord, be open to the prayers of your humble servants; and, that we may receive what we ask, teach us by your Holy Spirit to ask only those things that are pleasing to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the same Spirit lives and reigns for ever and ever.
Amen.
