Heavenly Father, Almighty God, King of the universe: we thank You for breathing life into us, that we may enjoy all Your creation for one more day, and for gathering us together once again as part of Your blessed assembly.
Lord, we pray You will pardon us for those times we so readily yield to temptation. We know that when we resist the Devil in Your name, he will flee from us.
Grant also Your blessing and peace to our priest and our deacon, that from the pulpit and at the Lord’s table they may have confidence to speak the words of God to the people of God.
We ask this in the name of Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever.
Amen.
