Almighty God, Heavenly Father,
We, Your unworthy servants, thank You for Your act of creation, through which we live and move and have our being.
We thank You also for this time together today, gathered into Your blessed assembly.
We pray that You will grant us pardon for those times in which we have had abundance, yet, seeing the least of Your flock in need, have done nothing.
We pray that You will bless our Priest Jeffrey and our Deacon Gretchen with the peace of the Holy Spirit, so that from the pulpit and at the Lord’s table they may have confidence to speak the words of God to the people of God.
We ask this in the name of Your Son, our Savior Christ Jesus, who lives and reigns together with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Amen.
