Obituary for Jean-Paul Ladue

This is the obituary for my friend, Jean-Paul Ladue who was born 02 June 1968 and who died 11 May 2014, at the age of 45.

Like so many of the people I have known in this world, It is my great guilt and shame to acknowledge that Jean Paul was a much better friend to me, than I was to him. I had lost contact with him for a number of years, perhaps a decade. Never the less, my memories of Jean Paul are fond ones.

Jean-Paul Ladue, 45, of McKees Rocks and Jeannette, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born June 2, 1968, in Pittsburgh, a son of Linda Coffman Ladue, of Jeannette, and Wallace E Ladue, of New Stanton. He is survived by his beloved daughter and the light of his life, Molly Olivia Ladue, of McKees Rocks. He is also survived by numerous relatives.

Jean-Paul graduated from Jeannette High School in 1986, attended Westmoreland Community College and graduated from the Bidwell Training Center in Culinary Arts. He worked at General Carbide in Greensburg and most recently Giant Eagle Market Place in Robinson Township. JP, as he is known by his friends, loved working with computers and gaming with his friends. He was an avid fan of Ludovico Technique and Pride and Fall musical groups.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Life Church, 372 Slate Run Road, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be for Molly Ladue, c/o Kathleen Kato, Executrix, 2367 Mt. Vernon Ave., Export, PA 15632.

I often think of Jean Paul when watching anything related to Star Wars.
