Observed on the 10th Day of August A.D. 2025
A Prayer for Our Clergy
Almighty God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit – call to your sheep so that we may know your voice and follow you to safe pasture.
Father, we know that this blessed assembly, your holy Church is for the sheep who have believed on the name of your Son Jesus Christ and not for the goats who seek after the satisfaction of human vanities.
Therefore Lord, we thank you for the faithful ministers called by the Holy Spirit to serve as Shepards for your flock; Our Bishops, Priests and Deacons whom you have appointed to guide us toward yourself.
We ask this day, that you grant your peace to our ministers at altar and pulpit, so they may boldly proclaim the word of GOD to the people of GOD.
Father, we ask this in the name of your Son – our Savior Jesus Christ – who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one GOD, now and forever.
Amen.
Acclamations
Celebrant: Blessed be God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
People: And blessed be his kingdom, now and for ever. Amen.
Collects
Almighty God, give us the increase of faith, hope, and love; and, that we may obtain what you have promised, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
